VoIP internet phone service has come a long way since it's first public debut in 1995, and is now readily available for home and business use! If you're not already a VoIP user you probably will be soon because internet phones will eventually be the preferred method of communication worldwide.

I always liked the analog phone lines. I am not sure about this Digital phone lines. We got to do away with the PSTN and switch to UTF.
PSTN - The old style thin wire. Only one phone line.
UTF - The new style thick wire. Phone line, internet connection, movies.

Digital line, the computer approximates your voice.
