Voip.com Update and Why I Recommend Them

A contact at Voip.com confirms that they are still “crazy-busy” signing up thousands of new customers as a result of the Sunrocket shutdown earlier this week. They have hired many new phone support people this week and have been working round the clock training them in an effort to ensure no customer gets left behind.
A comment on my blog earlier indicated that the auto-attendant Voip.com is using to help handle the influx of people calling in to subscribe is not flexible enough to handle everyone’s needs. Apparently there are limited options on the auto-attendant – allowing for only two choices of Voip service. I forwarded this concern to Voip.com and was told that this auto-attendant is brand new (installed this week to help keep up with heavy call volume) and is obviously not perfect yet. I was assured that they are working on the issue, as their number one goal is to keep all customers satisfied. The auto-attendant was installed in an effort to decrease “hold” time, as lines are really long this week.
If you want to sign up for Voip.com internet phone service right now, you may want to handle this via the web as the phone lines are still swamped (that’s totally my advice, not Voip.com’s). Whether you subscribe via the internet or phone, be sure to use Voip.com promo code “LUCKY “to ensure you get the best deal and the current money-saving offer.
Voip.com also confirms that they will be able to port (transfer) 99% of existing phone numbers. They have been in contact with the FCC, who is also working on addressing the issue caused by 200,000 Sunrocket customers losing service. Since porting numbers involves dealing with a 3rd party though, it can take 1 to 3 weeks to take care of this. It all depends on how quickly the 3rd party acts.
I have worked as an independent representative for several VoIP companies for a couple of years now (yes, Sunrocket was one of them…..), and must say I am totally impressed with the way Voip.com handles its business. They are always quick to respond to my questions and comments, and I feel that they genuinely care for their associates and customers. I cannot say this about any other company I associate with, both within the Voip industry and outside it. Voip.com is also by far the most proactive company I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They are constantly working toward improving everything, from services offered to the total customer experience.
And another thing – Voip.com is financially sound and not involved in any expensive litigation like leading VoIP provider Vonage.
Based on my experience as a Voip.com independent representative, I can say nothing but great things about this internet phone service company. As a result, I highly recommend them! I currently have my VoIP service with Packet8 (another fine VoIP company), but will be switching to Voip.com next month when I move from NC to TX. I’m willing (and totally comfortable with) switching my home phone service to Voip.com, and you should be too! – besides, they’re cheaper!
You can use this link to subscribe via the Voip.com website, or call them at 800-TRY-VOIP (800-879-8647). Don’t forget to use your Voip.com promo code – LUCKY.
