Allo.com Phone Number Transfers Stop 8/31/07

If you are an Allo.com VoIP subscriber who recently lost your internet phone service due to the shutdown, you need to be sure to find a new VoIP provider right away. Allo.com will only process requests to port phone numbers through August 31.

The good news is that Voip.com is fully prepared to request and manage your allo.com phone number transfer immediately. Number porting can take a few weeks, as the speed of this process is totally dependent on how quick the current carrier releases the number. It sounds like allo.com is committed to releasing numbers as quick as possible, as it is evident that they want to get totally out of the VoIP business by the end of this month. There may be a lot of third party carriers associated with allo.com phone numbers though (Sunrocket had 16 third party carriers), so you may have to patiently wait a short while.

Voip.com is one of the best broadband phone service providers in the telecommunications industry today. They rose to the challenge of taking on many thousands of new subscribers recently, when Sunrocket customers were also suddenly left without phone service. Voip.com knows what they’re doing with VoIP service, and they understand how important it is to you to get your phone number ported and new service activated as quickly as possible.

If you’re looking for a new VoIP company to replace your allo.com service, Voip.com is my recommendation. They are a financially stable company who maintains their own in-house development and support staff. They don’t farm out their services to third parties like so many VoIP providers do. As a result, their customer satisfaction rate is high and the quality of VoIP service is outstanding!

Voip.com has 2 unlimited plans ($199/year annual plan or $19.95/month monthly plan) and also a 200 minute a month plan for $9.99/month. All plans come with free softphone service, which allows you to take your VoIP service with you when you travel. Voip.com offers more free calling features than any other VoIP provider. In addition, they also have really cheap international long distance rates.

When you sign up for Voip.com service, use the Voip.com promo code (coupon code) LUCKY. This will let them know that I referred you, and will also ensure that you get the latest promotional offering.

I'm sorry to hear you and others are having issues with voip.com, dzung. I have been in touch with a representative from voip.com, and he tells me that they are working around the clock to resolve this type of problem. I don't understand why you cannot call customer service - do they not answer?

Voip.com knows that there is a problem regarding the delayed shipment of the adapters, and they are giving a $$ credit or extending the 30 day free trial period for everyone who was affected.

If you send me your name, phone number and voip.com account number in a seperate post (I will not publish it to protect your identity), I will ask voip.com to look into your situation for you.

This company has experienced totally unexpected and tremendous growth due to the collapse of Sunrocket, and I'm afraid they weren't prepared for such a huge increase in business. They are getting things in order now though, and want to make sure all customers are satisfied.

I'm a former SunRocket customer trying to make the switch to voip.com. I originally placed my order two weeks ago (7/27) and my equipment has not even been shipped! They sure managed to charge my immediately though. The influx of SunRocket customers really isn't cutting it as an excuse anymore. They claim 7-10 business days, but clearly this has not happened. And the support staff flat-out tells you they have no additional information regarding this matter via a recorded message. Now I am seriously considering cancelling my service. WHY AM I PAYING FOR A SERVICE I CANNOT EVEN USE? This really makes me wonder if I made the right decision going with voip.com and what the service will be like when I finally do get up and running.

Following the unexpected surge of new business due to the Sunrocket closing, Voip.com ran out of routers. They immediately tried to order more, but their supplier couldn't deliver. They found a new supplier, but this resulted in a delay in shipping.

Voip.com knows this is a problem and has made mention that they will be issuing a credit and/or extending the "free trial" period to new customers affected by this problem.

Please be patient. I know that Voip.com is doing all they can to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. My guess is that all VoIP providers have experienced problems as a result of absorbing a share of the 200,000 ex-Sunrocket customers too.

With 200,000 people suddenly signing up for new VoIP service, which requires shipping an adapter - I can see how everyone's inventory would be depleted very quickly.

I totally understand why you're upset and can appreciate your concerns. I really believe you did make the right choice in going with Voip.com, and as soon as all the "dust settles" from the huge increase in business they have had, I know you'll be happy you made this choice.

So, I finally got an adapter from voip.com today (although I got no word from them that it had even been shipped -it came via USPS instead of the original FedEx number). The adapter is a Grandstream HanyTone-286. I've got it connected and have made a call from my cell phone to the home phone successfully, however, I cannot seem to make any outgoing calls. Do we know any details about the faulty adapters? Is this one? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Everything seems to be working now with my account. Apparently there is a delay before outbound calls function properly. Hopefully, voip.com comes through on the $$ credit. Thanks for your insight.

I was a customer before the whole sunrocket problem. Right now when people call me they get "phone number not in service" but I can call out fine. It's impossible to talk to tech support. I've tried 6 times and always get put back into customer service. All they can do is start another trouble ticket. It takes 3 days for them to get back to you about your ticket and then all they do is ask what equipment you have. Terrible, Terrible customer service.

Very useful piece of information indeed! A thorough research is very significant before stepping for any keyword. But Webmasters can really be pretty fruitful for anyone.
